Defending the Cause: The long-term impact of faithful ministry

Fathers in the Field is designed to help Churches, and their men invest in the lives of fatherless boys to fulfill a biblical mandate.

We get great joy when I interact with pastors like Amos Fisher, who take this calling seriously and help ensure this ministry’s success in their churches.

Hear Pastor Amos Fisher’s heart, Living Waters Church in Christiana, PA:

“I am so very grateful for the blessing of knowing my Heavenly Father, who loves me unconditionally, and having been blessed with an earthly father who had my best interest in mind.

I was introduced to Fathers in the Field 12 years ago, and it has changed my life, ministry, and the lives of the people God has given me to lead.

I am very grateful to have been involved in the Fathers in the Field ministry, serving alongside men who are passionate about making a difference in the lives of the fatherless and widows. It has been one of the most rewarding opportunities in my life and changed my perspective of ministry.

We need to be pliable like clay in the hands of the Potter. Allowing God to reshape and transform us into the image of Christ. If we don’t, we carry the same wounds, hurts, and pains of emptiness as these boys do.

“We need to learn to forgive and come to the end of ourselves. It’s a blessing to realize we are nothing without Christ.

“We accept the gift our Heavenly Father has for us in Jesus; otherwise, we will do life running on empty.

“The ministry of Fathers in the Field shows us the transformation that forgiving others and finding forgiveness and life in Jesus has on a fatherless boy.

“Seeing this happening over the past 12 years has not only impacted my life and helped so many young boys, but it transformed my ministry and changed my perspective on life in general.”

There is a long-term impact on everyone involved with this ministry.

Boys learn about the love of their Heavenly Father and find the strength to forgive their earthly father.

The Mentor Fathers find joy in imitating God by being champions of the fatherless and the widow.

Our ministry is about empowering the men of God to make a great difference in the life of a fatherless boy.

To walk alongside them, demonstrate God’s love in action, and help them find the “why” to forgive their earthly father. It starts with the godly leadership of Pastors like Amos who are in it for the long haul. Are you ready?
